Isaiah 53:6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. ********************************************************************************Why did God lay my sins on Jesus at the cross?
Because I went astray.
Because I went my way.
Pride. Selfish. Stubborn.
Two weeks ago the sheep were in the pasture. The sheepdogs seemed to revel at nipping the sheep's heels. The woolly ones appeared aimless and dumb as rocks. The German Shepherds got them exactly where they needed to be. The shepherd merely stood at his car, nodding at the sheepdogs.
Those dumb sheep are a lot like us.
We don't know what's good for us.
We wander and explore.
We're stubborn and convinced we know what's right.
But the Good Shepherd, who is also the Lamb of God, laid down His life for His sheep.
For me.
For you.
Thank you, Lord.
John 10:11"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
