Feb 27 Silently to the Slaughter

Isaiah 53: 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

Jesus, Son of God was flogged and beaten; marred beyond description. He was God but He chose to take it. The week before He was telling off the Pharisees at the temple. Not so on the way to the cross.

In the movie, "The Passion of Christ," we see Him crawl to place Himself on that piece of wood. He silently and willingly went to His crucifixion. Because it was for me. For you.

Ten Thousand Angels (by Ray Overholt)
Refrain

He could have called ten thousand angels
To destroy the world and set Him free.
He could have called ten thousand angels,
But He died alone, for you and me.

This photo was taken about 2 weeks ago. We looked out our back window and saw the meadow filled with sheep and new lambs. I grabbed my camera went out there. They were there for 2 days and we haven't seen them since.
